Configuring the Linksys MX4300 (LN1301) Parental Controls page

The Parental Controls feature of your Linksys MX4300 (LN1301) lets you regulate online access, perfect for managing internet usage for kids or teens in your home.

 

Follow the instructions below to learn more.

 



Directions


1. Log in to the router's web interface.

 

2. Click on Parental Controls.

 

 

3. Enable parental controls by switching the button to ON.

 

 

4. Select a device to block internet access on.

 

 

5. Select either Block Internet access or Block specific sites.

 

a. Block Internet access

 

Never - Click this to ensure that a device can access the internet at any time. 

 

 

Always - Click this to completely block the internet and not let users access the internet at any time.

 

 

Specific Times - Click this to choose specific hours when access to the internet is blocked. During these times, users on the computer or device will not be able to access the internet. To specify the time and days to block the internet, click Edit, make necessary adjustments, and then click Ok.

 

 


b. Block specific sites

 

Enter a website to block. Even if you keep internet access open, you can still use this option to block specific sites for the selected computer or device.

 


6. Click Ok to save changes.
