Getting a “Bad Gateway Error” when accessing Linksys Smart WiFi (EA) Routers
Scenario:
A Bad Gateway Error occurs when accessing Linksys Smart WiFi (EA) Routers.
Solution:
Perform a manual firmware upgrade.
1. Download the latest firmware from the Linksys Support Site. If you cannot access the internet behind the router, connect your computer directly to the modem. Steps on how to download the firmware.
2. Reset the router.
3. Log in to the web interface using the default password and do a manual firmware upgrade. Follow these instructions to learn how to upgrade the firmware manually.
NOTE: The default password is admin.
