How to properly uninstall the Linksys WUSB6300

The Linksys WUSB6300 features Wireless-AC technology that upgrades your computer to the latest Wi-Fi® standard. It can provide faster and more reliable internet connection with speeds of up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band.

This article will help you properly uninstall the Linksys wireless USB adapter on your computer.
 

Windows® 10

 

1. Click the Windows  icon on your desktop, then type "control panel".

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click on Programs or Programs and Features.

4. Locate and select WUSB6300, then click Uninstall. Click Remove once the Setup Wizard begins.

NOTE: If the WUSB6300 is not on the list, then you can safely uninstall the driver from the Device Manager.

5. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Click Restart Now and remove the Linksys WUSB6300 adapter, or you may click Restart Later instead.

Windows 8 / 8.1

 


1. On the Charms bar, click on Search.

 

2. Enter “programs and features” in the search field. Make sure you click on the Settings option.

4. Locate and select WUSB6300, then click Uninstall. Click Remove once the Setup Wizard begins.

NOTE: If the WUSB6300 is not on the list, then you can safely uninstall the driver from the Device Manager.

5. You will be prompted to restart. Click Restart Now and remove the WUSB6300 adapter, or you may click Restart Later.

7. Click Finish if restarting later and disconnect the Linksys WUSB6300.

Removing the standalone drivers from Device Manager

 

If you do not see the WUSB6300 in the Programs list, you can remove the drivers from Device Manager.

 

1. Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters.

 

2. Right-click on the WUSB6300 adapter, check the box, and click Uninstall.

1. Download the Setup Utility for your Linksys wireless USB adapter

 

2. Locate the downloaded folder and double-click on the Setup Utility file to unzip the contents.

 

3. Double-click on Uninstall.pkg file.

4. This will start the uninstall process. Click Continue.

5. Select the Install for all users of this computer option and click Continue.

NOTE: If you want to change the installation location, click Change Install Location....

6. Click Install. If you are prompted to enter your Mac OS login credentials, enter your Username and Password and click Install Software.

 

 Wait for the uninstall process to be completed.

7. Once completed, click Close.

 

Click on Close.

 

8. Disconnect the Linksys wireless USB adapter.

 

You should now have successfully uninstalled the Linksys wireless USB adapter.
