Enabling the MLO feature of the Linksys MBE7000 or LN1400 router

The Linksys MBE7000 and LN1400 support Multi-Link Operation (MLO). With MLO, Wi-Fi® 7 establishes simultaneous connections between a parent node and a child node or between the router and Wi-Fi 7 devices. These links are established using the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, which will then help improve data throughput, reduce latency, and make the overall connection more reliable.

Notes:

  • The MLO feature is turned OFF by default.
  • MLO is currently in the beta phase.

Things to keep in mind before turning ON the MLO feature:

  • All three WiFi radios must be turned ON.
  • All three WiFi radios must have the same WiFi name, WiFi mode, and security type.
  • If any of the previously mentioned wireless settings are changed, MLO will not work properly.
  • A WiFi restart will be needed to save the settings.

To enable it, follow the steps shown below.

1. Connect a computer to your Linksys network.

2. Log in to the router's web interface.

3. Go to Wi-Fi Settings.
