How to Back up and Restore the settings of Linksys FGMM1000 and FGMM601

The Linksys FGMM1000 and FGMM601 routers feature Backup & Restore which allows you to back up all configurations made to the router and restore your previous configuration using the backup configuration file when the router is reset to factory default settings. This will save you time by not going through the process of reconfiguring the router manually.

This article will guide you on how to back up and restore the settings of your router. Follow the steps below to know how.

2. Go to Administration and choose Restore/Backup under Device Management.

3. On the Backup & Restore page, click on BACKUP.
 

4. A new window will prompt you to save the configuration file in the .en file extension. If you want to change the file name, you may do so. Click Save.

You may save the file to your Desktop to easily search for it later.

2. Go to Administration and choose Restore/Backup under Device Management.

3. On the Backup & Restore page, click on Upload restored configuration.
 

4. Select the backup configuration file you saved.

5. Click on RESTORE to start the process.

The router will automatically reboot and disconnect from the internet when the restore process is complete. The devices connected to your router will also disconnect. Once the backup configuration file is successfully restored, the devices will reconnect only if the backup settings match the current.
