An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a unique identifier that consists of four sets of numbers from 0 to 255, separated by three dots. This is required by all devices in the network to connect to the internet. By default, the IP address of a Linksys router is 192.168.1.1. To change a router’s IP address, follow the steps below.

Before you begin, ensure that your computer is connected to the LAN port of the router you want to configure.

1.
Log in to your router's web interface.

2. Click the Configuration tab.

3. Click Connectivity.

4. Click Local Network.

5. Enter your preferred IP Address.

6. Scroll down and click Save.

You have successfully changed the LAN IP address of your router.
