The DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) feature allows one network device to be exposed to the internet for use of a special-purpose service, such as online gaming. The router forwards all the ports at the same time to the DMZ device.
To enable DMZ on the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to the router's web interface.
2. Click the Configuration tab.
3. Click Security then select DMZ.
4. Check the DMZ box and set the Source IP Address and Destination.
- Source IP Address - To allow any IP address from the internet to access the DMZ device, select Any IP Address. To specify an IP address or range of IP addresses from the internet to access the DMZ device, select and complete the IP address range fields.
- Destination - To specify the DMZ device by IP address, select IP Address and enter its IP address. To specify the DMZ device by MAC address, select MAC Address and enter its MAC address. To retrieve this information, click the DHCP Client Table button to show the list of all wired and wireless devices connected to the router.
5. Click Save.
