Resetting the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router to factory default settings

Resetting the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router changes back the router to its factory defaults. All of the customized settings of the router (network name, wireless security, etc.) will be erased.

Follow the steps below to reset the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router to factory default settings:

Manual Reset
Software Reset


Manual Reset

 

1. Make sure that your Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router is connected to a power source and is turned ON.

2. Press and hold the Reset Button at the bottom of the router for 10 to 20 seconds.

 


Software Reset

 

1. Log in to the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router's web interface.

2. Click the Configuration tab.

3. Click Administration.

4. Click Device Reset.

 

 
5. Click Factory Reset.
