print icon
Select Bridge Mode to use the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router as a wireless access point instead of a router. Make sure that you connect this router’s internet port to the ethernet or LAN port on the router that is connected to your modem.

Images vary by the model of your router.

Before you begin:

  • Configure your WiFi settings first.
  • Change the default admin password of the router.

1. Log in to the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router's web interface and skip the setup if prompted by clicking Cancel.

2. Click the Configuration tab.

3. Click Connectivity.

4. Click WAN Setup page.

5. In the WAN Setup page, click the Bridge Mode option. By default, Automatic Configuration - DHCP is selected.

6. You can either choose Automatically obtain an IP address or Specify an IP address. If you opt to Specify an IP address, enter the appropriate IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway for the Linksys router.

NOTE:  The Router Name is provided but can also modified.

7. Click Save.

You have successfully set your router to Bridge Mode.
