No internet connection error during the Linksys LN1600 setup

If you are setting up the Linksys LN1600 using the Instant-Install setup wizard and you are getting a no internet connection error, try one of the checklist items below to resolve the problem.

 

 

  • If your service provider is using PPPoE and you are getting a no internet connection error, click on Enter ISP settings.
  • Make sure that your modem is connected to the Internet port on the Linksys router.
  • If you have an automatic (DHCP) internet connection, power cycle the modem first, and wait for it to come back online. Then, power cycle the router, wait for the light to turn solid blue, and try to set it up again.
  • Try resetting the router by holding down the reset button for about 15 seconds. When the light turns solid blue, try setting it up again.
