If your devices are not connecting to the WiFi, check the following:
- Make sure you are entering the correct WiFi password. The WiFi password is case sensitive. Change or verify your current WiFi settings using another device that can connect to, or connect a desktop computer to a child node’s ethernet port.
- If you are using the QR code from the web interface or the QR code from the bottom of the Linksys node that you saved during initial setup, and you have since updated the WiFi password, you will need to log in to the router and download the new QR code with the updated WiFi password. Learn more.
- Some WiFi clients can’t reconnect to the WiFi. If you have enabled Instant-Privacy on the Linksys router, your device may have MAC address randomization enabled and therefore will not be able to connect due to a different MAC address it is using. Learn more.
- Child nodes (blinking red light) and/or all WiFi clients can’t reconnect to the network. If your router supports an external Privacy toggle switch, and it’s currently in the lock position. Change it to the unlock position, wait, and check if the child nodes and wireless clients reconnect to the WiFi. This can happen if the router was ever powered OFF and the Privacy toggle switch was set to the lock position. Learn more about Instant-Privacy.
