The Linksys RE7000 Max-Stream™ AC1900+ WiFi Extender, Linksys RE7310 MAX-STREAM™ WiFi 6 Range Extender and Linksys RE7350 Max-Stream™ WiFi 6 Range Extender can be set up using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS). This article will show you the steps on how to do so.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure your existing WiFi router is set up and working.
  • If you turned OFF WPS on your WiFi router, this method will not work. You must have WPS enabled.
  • If you have set up MAC filtering on your WiFi router, you will need to enter the MAC address of the range extender. Also, make sure this feature is properly configured on the range extender.  For instructions, click here.

1. Plug the range extender into a wall outlet that is close to your router. Wait for the light to change to orange.

2. Press the WPS button on your router.

3. Press the WPS button on the side panel of your range extender. The WPS pairing is in the process when:

  • The light indicator of Linksys RE7000 will blink green.
  • The light indicator of Linksys RE7310 and RE7350 will blink blue.

4. To indicate that the connection is successful, refer to the following according to your device.

  • For the Linksys RE7000, the light will turn to solid green.
  • For the Linksys RE7310 and RE7350, the light will turn to solid blue. If the light is solid orange, this means WPS pairing has failed.

5. If you have a Linksys Dual-Band or Tri-Band router, repeat Steps 2 to 4 to extend your other network.

Your Linksys range extender is now set up using WPS. You may now access the web-based setup page.  For instructions, click here.
