Updating your Linksys network adapter’s driver fixes bugs and improves its functionality. To update the driver, follow these steps:

Before you begin:

  • If you can’t find the driver for your product, it might be an end-of-life (EOL) product, in which case driver updates are no longer available. Learn more.
  • The hardware version is located beside or beneath the model number and is labeled version, ver., or V. If there is no version number beside the model number on your Linksys product, the device is version 1.

Downloading the latest driver

1. Go to the Linksys Support site and enter the model number of your Linksys device with the word "Downloads" in the Enter Keywords or Model Number field.

2. In the search results page, click on the support article for your product.

3. Click on Downloads, Documents, and User Guides.

4. Select the driver for your adapter and click the Download link. Some products have more than one version and driver, so make sure to select the correct file for your product.

5. Open the file on your computer. In most cases, it will be automatically saved in the Downloads folder. Then, unzip the file. You can also rename it or transfer it to your preferred location to make it easier to identify when you install it.
