When configuring the WiFi settings of your router, it is best to use a computer connected via a wired ethernet connection.

Follow these steps:

1. Connect an ethernet cable from the ethernet port of your router to your computer.

2. Log in to the router's web interface.

3. Navigate to Network > Wireless.

4. Click Edit on the WiFi radio you want to customize.

  • wifi0 - This is for the 2.4 GHz radio.

  • wifi1 - This section is for the 5 GHz radio.

  • wifi2 - This is for the 6 GHz (clients must support 6 GHz to connect)

5. Enter a new ESSID and Save the settings.

6. Click on the Wireless Security tab to customize the Encryption and Key then click Save.

7. Click on the "Interface has x pending changes" link (where x represents the number of pending changes) and then click on Save & Apply.

8. Wait for the settings to update; WiFi connectivity will be temporarily lost.

9. Connect to the new SSID and enter the Key, if prompted.

Repeat these steps for other radios if needed, keeping the same SSID or separating them as desired.
