Configuring the Internet Setting of the Linksys OpenWRT router

This article will walk you through customizing the necessary internet connection settings, including protocols like PPPoE, for both WAN and WAN6 interfaces.

 

In the examples below, a PPPoE connection is used.

 

1.  Log in to the router's web interface.

 

2. Go to Network > Interfaces.

 

 

3. Click the Edit button alongside WAN.

 

 

4. Choose PPPoE in the Protocol field and click Save.

 

 

Click the Switch protocol button. Then enter the PPPoE credentials from your service provider and click Save.

 

 

 

5. Repeat the process for WAN6 if needed.

 

6. Select the "pending changes" link within the WAN section that you've recently configured.

 

 

7. Click Save & Apply.
