How to change the LAN IP address of the Linksys OpenWRT router

Changing a router's LAN IP address offers several benefits, including avoidance of IP address conflicts when connected to an upstream device with the same IP address, enhanced security against attackers, compliance with network standards, and streamlined troubleshooting and management.

 

1. Log in to the router's web interface.

 

2. Click on Network.

 

 

3. Go to Interfaces.

 

 

4. Click Edit for the LAN interface.

 

 

5. Change the IP address settings accordingly and click Save.

 

 

6.  Click the "pending changes" link for the LAN interface and click on Save & Apply.
