Updating your router's firmware is crucial for maintaining security, optimizing performance, and resolving any issues or bugs that may arise.

This article will walk you through updating the firmware of your Linksys router. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Download the firmware from the Linksys support site.

2. Log in to the router's web interface.

3. Go to System > Backup / Flash Firmware.

4. Click on Flash image.

5. Click on Browse to select the firmware you downloaded and click Upload.

6. Wait until the firmware has been updated. The router will reboot (blinking blue light) after the update. Wait until the light goes back to solid white or its previous status.

7. Reconnect to the SSID if needed.

You can confirm the new Firmware Version on the Status page.
