Does Linksys router replace your internet service provider (ISP)?

No, a Linksys router does not replace your ISP. To use a Linksys router, you will still need a customer-paid active internet connection, as well as a modem for connectivity. The good news is that Linksys routers work with most ISPs.

    • Your ISP is responsible for getting an internet signal to your house (cable, DSL, fiber, or 5G).
    • Once you plug the Linksys router into your modem (ONT for fiber connection) and set it up, Linksys takes care of providing WiFi connectivity for your devices in your home.
