What is EasyMesh? |
EasyMesh is a technology that allows you to create a mesh system with compatible EasyMesh devices used to extend your network wirelessly such as another Linksys E9450-AH, E9450-CN, E9450-JP, or E9450-KR. The Linksys E9450 US model does not support the EasyMesh feature. |
Can I add a Linksys Intelligent Mesh™ node and Linksys E9450 (US model) as a child node to extend my WiFi? |
No. The Linksys Intelligent Mesh node and Linksys E9450 US model are not compatible. The Linksys E9450 US model cannot be used because it does not support EasyMesh. |
What other EasyMesh products can I add to extend my WiFi network? |
You can only add another Linksys E9450 as a child node. The Linksys E9450 (US model) cannot be used, the US model does not support EasyMesh. |
How many antennas does the router have? |
It has four internal antennas. |
What is the warranty period of the router? |
The warranty period is 3 years. |
What do the lights on the router indicate? |

Can I add a USB drive to the USB port on the router? |
Yes. The router has a USB 3.0 port to connect to an external USB drive. The USB port supports up to 900 mA. It does not support external drives with external power sources. |
What are the supported file formats? |
The USB storage feature supports FAT32, NTFS, and HFS+. |
Is a Linksys E9450 purchased in North America compatible with Linksys E9450-AH, E9450-JP, E9450-KR, or E9450-CN? |
No. The Linksys E9450 product from North America does not support EasyMesh, and the firmware is incompatible. |

How do I set up the Linksys E9450? | Setting up the router is fast and easy. |
What is the default IP address, username, and password of the router? | The default IP address for this router is 192.168.79.1 and admin is the default username and password. |
Is the router compatible with Starlink? | Yes. For the router to work with Starlink, you will need a Starlink ethernet adapter which you can find in the Starlink shop. Connect one end of the ethernet cable to the Starlink ethernet adapter and the other end to the Internet port of your Linksys router. Learn how to set up the Linksys router with Starlink. |

What WiFi security modes does the router support? |
The router supports WPA2™ and WPA3™ WiFi security modes. By default, it is set to WPA2. |
What is the default guest WiFi name and password of the router? |
The default guest WiFi names are Linksysxxxxx-guest and Linksysxxxxx_5GHz-guest. The guest password is located on the product label on the router itself. |

Does the router support an SPI firewall? |
Yes. The router supports an SPI firewall. |
How can I upgrade the firmware of the router? |
The router has an Auto Firmware Update feature which automatically updates the router whenever there is new firmware available. |

How do I reset the router to factory defaults? | Press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 10 seconds then release. The power light on the front of the router will turn OFF and then start blinking blue. |
What should I do if I can't connect to the internet via WiFi and my WiFi name is not listed on the available networks? |

What should I do when my WiFi is slow, inconsistent, suffering from a weak signal, or having difficulty maintaining a connection? |

What if my internet light is solid orange and I cannot get online? |
Try rebooting your modem and router, then wait for a few minutes. If you are still unable to get online, connect your computer directly to your modem to check for connectivity, or call your internet service provider (ISP) to check for any connectivity issues with the modem. |
My router isn't working with my ISP's 5G router. What should I do? |
For the router to work with your ISP's 5G router, your ISP must provide a compatible 5G router with an ethernet port for connection to the parent node. |
