3. What is the difference between the Linksys LGS116 V1 and LGS116 V2?

2. What should I do if my computer cannot connect to the internet while connected to the switch?

Follow the steps provided below to resolve this issue:

 


1. Verify if the switch and the computer are connected properly and the indicator lights on the switch are properly lit as outlined below: 
 
  • System indicator light - Solid blue
  • Link/Act/GB indicator lights - Either green or orange and solid or blinking depending on the speed and status of the connection

2. Power down everything then power up the switch then do the same to the computer. 

 

 
Only routers or modems with DHCP capabilities can connect a computer to the internet. For a computer on a switch to have internet access, the switch should be connected to a router or a modem.
