Overview of the Administration page of the Linksys E7350 External Storage

This article provides an overview of the Administration settings of the External Storage feature for the Linksys E7350 AX1800 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router.

To access the Administration page, follow the instructions below:

 

1. Access the web interface of your router. For instructions, click here.

 

2. Under the  tab, click on External Storage.

 

3. Click on Administration.


The image below shows the settings that can be configured under Administration:
 

 

  • Device Name (Disk) - The Router Name (or NetBIOS name) of the router is displayed. 
  • Workgroup Name - Enter the workgroup name for the router; it should match the workgroup name of the computers on your local network.
  • Server LAN IP Address - The local IP address of the router’s media server and USB disk is displayed. 
  • Server Internet IP Address - The Internet IP address of the router’s FTP server is displayed.
 
 
  • Anonymous FTP - By default, this option is disabled. To allow read-only, anonymous FTP user access, check the box beside it. 
  • Anonymous Disk Access - By default, the disk can be accessed without a password. To manage group and user access to specific shared folders, uncheck the box beside it.  
 
 
  • By default, the router creates two user groups:  admin and guest.
  • The groups are listed by Group Name and Access level.  There are two levels of access:  r & w (read-and-write) and r (read-only).
