Overview of the Media Server settings for the Linksys E7350

This article provides an overview of the Media Server settings of the Linksys E7350 AX1800 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router.

To access this feature, follow the instructions below:

 

1. Access the web interface of your router. 

 

2. Under the  tab, click on External Storage.

 

3. Click on Media Server.


The table below shows the settings that can be configured under Media Server:

 

 

Feature Description
Server Name

The default is Linksysxxxxx.  To change the name, go to Configuration > Connectivity > Local Network.
 
UPnP Media Server
This feature is enabled by default.
 
Specify Folder to Scan


To specify a folder to scan for media files, click on Specify Folder to Scan and select a folder or create a folder.

 

 
Last scanning time


Shows the last time the media server scanned for content. 

 
Auto-scan every

Enable this option to automatically scan the media folders. Then, select the appropriate interval. 
 
 
Scan All
To scan all media files now, click this option. 
Scan To scan a folder now, click Scan
Delete

To delete a folder, click Delete.
