The hardware version is located beside or beneath the model number and is labeled version, ver., or V. If there is no version number beside the model number on your Linksys product, the device is version 1. If you still have trouble finding your version number, see the complete article to learn more.
To set up the router, follow these instructions.

1. Log in to the router's web interface.
2. Navigate to Wi-Fi Settings.
3. Select the fields you want to change, click Apply, and then confirm by clicking Ok.
Click Show more to view the 5 GHz band settings.
There are two ways to reset the router to factory defaults:
- Hardware reset – Press and hold the reset button until you see a fourth red light flash. Learn more.
- Software reset – Log in to the router's web interface. Under Router Settings, click Troubleshooting > Diagnostics, then click Reset under Factory reset.
