
HARDWARE INFORMATION
The Linksys MR7500 supports the following:
- FAT
- FAT32
- NTFS
- HFS+ (journaled and non-journaled)
Your device must support a 6 GHz connection, otherwise, it will only connect to the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band. You can check with the manufacturer of your device to see if it supports a 6 GHz radio or if driver updates are needed.
SETUP AND INSTALLATION
Below are the requirements for setting up the Linksys MR7500:
- Internet connection via a modem or modem router (gateway)
- The latest Linksys app
- Linksys server account (for remote access)

The default WiFi names of the router are LinksysSetupxxx and LinksysSetupxxx_5GHz (the xxx stands for the last three digits of the router’s MAC address). Each node has a unique pre-assigned WiFi password on its product label.
The default password of an unconfigured router is admin.
There are two ways to reset the router to its factory default settings
- Hardware reset – Hold the reset button for 11 seconds. Watch for the three slow red pulse lights, then release the reset button on the fourth red pulse.
- Software reset – Log in to your Linksys cloud account via the router's web interface. Under Router Settings, click Troubleshooting > Diagnostics, then click Reset under Factory reset.
Yes. For the Linksys router to work with Starlink, you will need a Starlink ethernet adapter, which you can find in the Starlink shop. You can enable the Authentication option for the external storage device and enter the following information:
- Username – use a minimum of four and a maximum of 12 alphanumeric characters.
- Password – use a minimum of four and a maximum of 50 alphanumeric characters
- The characters must be alphanumeric or include valid characters such as an underscore ( _ ) or a dash ( - ).
