The hardware version is located beside or beneath the model number and is labeled version, ver., or V. If there is no version number beside the model number on your Linksys product, the device is version 1. If you still have trouble finding your version number, see the complete article to learn more.
1. Turn ON your Linksys router.
2. Connect your router to the modem via the internet port.
- If you have a separate modem and a standalone router, disconnect and remove your old router.
- If you have a modem-router, leave it connected.
3. Wait for the light on top of the router to turn solid white.
4. Go to LinksysSmartWiFi.com or enter "192.168.1.1" in a browser and hit [ENTER].
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the setup.

1. Press and hold the Reset button.
Press until the light on top of the router starts flashing (about 10 seconds).
2. Wait for the light to turn solid white, indicating it is ready to be set up.
