SETUP AND INSTALLATION
Below are the requirements for setting up the Linksys E9450:
- A mobile device or computer
- An active internet connection
- Browser requirements for setup:
- The latest version of Google Chrome™
- Firefox®, Safari® (for Mac® or iPad®)
- Microsoft Edge™
Below are the default settings of the Linksys E9450:
- IP address - 192.168.1.1
NOTE: If an IP address conflicts with an existing upstream connection, try using 192.168.10.1.
- Router password - admin
- WiFi name - Linksysxxxxx and Linksysxxxxx_5GHz, where xxxxx represents the last five digits of the serial number
- Guest network - Linksysxxxxx-guest and Linksysxxxxx_5GHz-guest, where xxxxx represents the last five digits of the serial number, while the default Guest password is guest
- Backhaul - Supports wired and wireless backhaul

Try to perform the steps below:
- Verify that your router's power and WiFi lights are both solid blue.
- To assess if you have WiFi range issues, try moving your laptop or mobile device closer to your router.
To reduce signal degradation, do the following:
- Clear obstructions between the router and your devices, such as walls, fixtures, furniture, and metal appliances.
- Situate your router away from locations with WiFi signal interference caused by other devices using the same frequency, such as baby monitors, microwave ovens, etc.
- Place your router on an elevated surface at least 6 ft high.
