Mobile Gaming assigns the highest priority to traffic to and from specific devices. This reduces lag so gaming is smoother and faster. You can assign Mobile Gaming to up to three devices. This uses WMM (WiFi Multimedia) to sort all network traffic into categories based on how time-critical the data is.  

Voice applications get the highest priority. When you assign Mobile Gaming to a device, all traffic to and from the device is then considered voice traffic.  

This article will show you how to prioritize devices using the Mobile Gaming settings.
 

Linksys app

1. Log in to the Linksys app.

2. Tap the menu icon and tap on Mobile Gaming.

3. On the Mobile Gaming page, tap Add a Device.

4. Select up to three devices and tap Save.

 If you want to remove a device, tap on the trash icon next to the device and tap on Remove. 

Web interface

1. Log into the router's web interface.

2. Click on Mobile Gaming under Smart Wi-Fi Tools.

3. To enable Mobile Gaming, toggle ON the switch.  

4. Drag devices from the Normal Priority section that you want to have WiFi priority to the High Priority section, then click Ok.
