As technology evolves, Linksys systematically reallocates resources more towards the latest devices and technologies.
Here are the updates:
- Access to your router using a desktop computer via LinksysSmartWiFi.com will no longer be supported.
- To manage your router settings using a desktop computer, log in to the web interface of the router using the local login. To learn how to log in, follow these instructions.
- If you are currently using the Linksys mobile app, you can still access your router using the app using the router’s local password.
- Creating new Linksys cloud accounts is no longer supported.
- Setup through the Linksys mobile app is no longer supported on the latest firmware.
- If you ever reset your router and need to set it up again, follow these instructions to set it up using the web interface.

- While some options were previously hidden, you will now have access to additional advanced WiFi settings.

1. My device is not on the list of selected Linksys products. Does this mean I can still use the Linksys app and remote cloud access?
Once the LinksysSmartWiFi.com page is discontinued, this will affect all Linksys Smart WiFi models with Linksys cloud accounts. As for the rest of the items described, only those models on the list are affected.
2. What will happen to my Linksys cloud account data?
All data stored in the Linksys cloud will be permanently deleted during the decommissioning process. No action is required from users.
3. After the firmware upgrade, can I set up my device using the Linksys app?
No, setup through the mobile app is no longer supported on the latest firmware. You can set up your Linksys router using the web interface.
4. Can I still use the Linksys app after upgrading to the latest firmware?
You can log in locally using the router’s password when connected to your Linksys WiFi network.
5. Can I still do remote access?
No. Linksys Smart WiFi remote services will no longer be supported with the latest firmware.

Yes. Your Linksys router or mesh system will continue to operate normally. Only the features dependent on the Linksys app or cloud will be affected.
7. How can I manage my network after the Linksys app shuts down?
You can manage your router locally using the web interface by logging in to “https://192.168.1.1” or “myrouter.local”. All router features and functions remain accessible and working.

No. Adding child nodes using the mobile app is no longer supported for selected products. However, you can add child nodes using the following methods:
