How to enable Port Triggering on a Linksys E9450 router

Port triggering allows the router to let specific requests from computers in your network pass through the internet without any issues.  The instructions below will guide you on enabling port triggering on the Linksys E9450. 

This article is for Linksys E9450-AH, E9450-CN, E9450-JP, and E9450-KR.

 

1. Access your router's web interface

2. Click the Advanced Setup tab, then click on the NAT subtab.
 

 
3. Click Port Triggering, then click Add.
 

 
 
With this setup, you can only configure 32 entries. 

4. Under Service Name, click on Select an application then click on the drop-down arrow to select a service or select Custom application and enter the port numbers.
 

Once you select an application, the port number and protocol will be automatically generated.  
 

5. Click Apply/Save.
