The EasyMesh feature can be found under Configuration > Wi-Fi > Basic Wireless Settings. If you do not see this option, you need to update the firmware on your router. Learn more.
The USB storage feature is only supported on the parent node.
No. Linksys Velop nodes or Mesh routers are not compatible with Linksys EasyMesh products.
Yes. To rename the child nodes using the web interface of the parent node, go to Configuration > Local Network and change the name of the nodes. Only the Linksys EasyMesh products set as child nodes can be renamed.
If you are having a hard time adding a child node, check the following:
- The EasyMesh feature is enabled on the parent node. To enable the feature, follow these instructions.
- The child node is on the firmware version that supports EasyMesh. If not, update the child node to the latest firmware available on the Linksys support site. Learn more.
Reset your nodes and then set them up again accordingly.
Adding a child node to the Linksys Dual-Band EasyMesh WiFi Router.
After a failed password attempt, you will see a countdown timer on the page. Once this timer clears, you can then try entering your password again. The timer increases after each failed attempt; however, after five failed attempts, you are permanently locked out of the router. To fix this, reset and reconfigure the router.
For the Linksys mesh router to work with a 5G router, your ISP must provide a 5G router with an ethernet port for connection to the parent node.
